Our team of Abhinavakrishi Research Organization Sambalpur, Odisha is continuously working towards research and promotion of innovative farming practises for the improvement of small and marginal farmers of Odisha and India.
Here we are sharing you our recent achievement’s towards promotion of innovative farming.
Promoted the indigenous variety of Black Rice “Kalabati” across more than 10 rice growing states of India in the year 2017. Due to rigorous and continuous effort by our team members we have promoted the black rice in all most all districts of Odisha from a marginal area of “10” acres to more than 2000 acres through our farmers, farmers groups and Farmer Producer Organizations.
Promoted “Manipuri Cha Khao” black rice cultivation among farmers of Odisha and in major rice growing areas of India.
Promoted cultivation different fruits like low chilling apples, red banana ,G9 tissue culture banana, Thai seedless lemon among the farmers across Odisha for commercial purpose.
Organized several trainings and workshops on organic farming, mushroom cultivation and on better marketing of agri-produce.
Promoted “Machine Dhenki” for production of brown rice and natural processing of cereals, millets, pulses , spices and herbs.
Promoted “AUTOMATIC CANAL WATER LIFTING DEVICE” for lifting canal water for irrigation purposes which lifts water without the use of electricity or diesel .
Research on Multilocation trials(MLT) of strawberry was done in 10 different places of western Odisha for the promotion of strawberry farming in a commercial way in the beginning of the year 2020.
The commercial scale promotion of strawberry farming was done among the farmers of Boud and Kandhamal district of Odisha during september ,2020 to February,2020. The varieties which are performing better was evaluated and it was found that var. Winter Down, Cheema Rosa, Sweet Charlie are performing very well in the climate of Boud and Kandhamal during mid winter due to favorable agro-climatic conditions for strawberry.
